She’s Here

Well I had my beautiful baby girl Josie on October 1st. New breastfed babies nurse every 2-3 hours so I am basically spending 8 hours out of every 24 feeding my baby. I’ve discovered that dividing my time between two children is very simple: the baby gets 12 hours of every day and the toddler gets the other 12. Thank goodness for my mom and my husband or I’d never get to go to the bathroom, let alone eat or shower…

Mink Valley Update - October

Day before yesterday I made it down to my band’s rehearsal space for the first time since August 1st (that was the deadline for playing recommended by a doctor so I wouldn’t damage baby’s hearing). We’re sharing the space with other bands at the moment to help us pay the rent, and the space looked different which I found unsettling. Someone has also been playing my bass with a pick (they stored it under the pick guard) which is just wrong.

I should be napping, so for now… I am napping…

Anyways I hope to be back up here writing again starting in November… in the meantime, check out this excellent marketing strategy spotted at my local grocery store. How many sleep deprived parents on an emergency diaper run also pick up a package of condoms at the same time - for you singletons out there, remember: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of poopy diapers!

  1. Congratulations on the birth of your second baby! I sure hope you find the time to nap because you will need it with a 24-hour childcare schedule. Post pictures one day.

  2. Congrats you guys! Shucks she’s sweet, was just admiring her on facebook. That picture is HILARIOUS! Marketing genius indeed! Must share!

  3. Congratulations!! Very exciting AND TIRING time indeed!

It’s good to see you back up and writing.

The condom/diaper placement cracked us up. Somehow that doesn’t make a lot of sense to us in so many ways……
