Best Road Trip Ever Typically, I walk a lot with my kids and I take transit or ride my bike, but when the sun starts to shine and the roads start to warm up, I get a burning desire to hit the road. Our friend picked us up in the car we would take turns driving across the U.S.A. We had a rough idea of our route, some Google driving directions, and about 3 hotel reservations which gave us goals for arriving at different cities on specific days. Part 1: Country, Rock, and Little Rock Nashville Tennessee We drove through beautiful green Virginia on our way to our first stop, Nashville Tennessee. We spent the night and then spent the next day checking out the sites. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Music Row, and The Ryman Auditorium (the location of the original Grand Ol’ Opry) are perfect if you love classic country music.
