I’m a few days late with this week’s web personality because I’ve spent several days wrestling with my toddler who has suddenly decided that she doesn’t want to nap anymore. While I am touched by her attempts to be ‘just like mom’, if she doesn’t nap, I don’t get anything done!
Anyways, on to one of my favorite musicians and this week’s favorite web personality - I’ve been calling him Peach Boy but apparently he’s moved on to a new band name. It was at his myspace site for his new band, The Bumblebee Bats, that I discovered his real name is Pascal-Auban. Well, he’ll always be Peach Boy to me…
Platforms: His old band Peach Boy on Garageband and MySpace, his brand new band The Bumblebee Bats at MySpace and his blogs Undeceivable and Zen is for Idiots
Who He Is:
According to his Peach Boy bio on MySpace, he is “A little MacBook with Garageband 3, an acoustic guitar off my brother, and some funny little tunes that appear when I start strumming my guitar!”

5 Reasons Why I Chose Him:
1. His songs. Quirky, catchy - I just love them. If you too are a fan of Daniel Johnston then you should listen to Peach Boy, too.
2. His blog is a good resource is you record your music on your mac (or want to).
3. He’s funny. Read the ‘reviews‘ of Peach Boy that he’s posted at Garageband and tell me it’s not true.
4. He’s a friendly, humble guy on top of being talented, which makes his music and his writing a pleasure to read.
“I don’t mean I don’t know in the Zen sense - I honestly mean I don’t know what I’m talking about.”
5. One word. Rocketman.

Unrelated, but cool Peach Boy video
Apparently Peach Boy is a character in a Japanese folktale. So, in honor of “Peach Boy”s apparent demise, here is some cool animation below:

hahahaha, blushing profusely! What a nice thing to do!
Words fail me…

Good idea too, fave web personalities.
Good luck with your un-napping toddler
My daughter gave up naps about five months ago and I still cry like a little baby about it. The only time she’ll sleep now is in the car, which really pisses me off because, hello? I can’t do laundry or look for work or anything productive when I’m driving on the expressway.
BTW, you are really rockin’ the whole Twitter-verse! I think if I follow what you are doing, I’ll get it.
Thanks for the sympathy - last night we finally got her to bed at her normal time but the naps are still not happening… sigh… I have no idea what I’m doing in Twitterland and also confused because I seem to be attracting a lot of poker players, psychics, and extremely conservative Christians - not sure why but if they enjoy reading my stuff, then they are welcome to follow.
ugh! i remember when naps ended …. i very swiftly introduced ‘quiet time’ which meant ‘piss off and leave mummy alone for some solo headspace or she’ll go nuts’
to this day my wee guy respects this and comes up with fantastic artwork projects
and i get to twitter, blog, write, craft …… and stay slightly more sane than i would otherwise
wow that sounds amazing, luckily my little girl has gone back to napping for now but I’m liking this whole ‘quiet time’ idea a lot…
