Forget Regretting the Past - What are You Doing Now?

On October 5th I wrote a post in my ‘thinking things through’ section about a recent article in the isound.com newsletter called “What happens on the Internet stays on the Internet. Forever.” I guess my overall take on this statement was that it was unfortunately true and that I didn’t like the whole idea very much.

Well the writer of this article, Peter Risman, read my post and left a lengthy comment that I think is very helpful. My biggest ‘take-away’ from his comment was that we need to make sure that the Internet reflects who we are today and not who we were in the past, particularly if we don’t like what is up there. To quote Risman: “stack the deck with current content that reflects today’s version of who you are - or how you want others to perceive you.” Please read his entire comment at the end of my October 4 post.

Makes sense to me! And, thank you Peter Risman, for taking the time to respond to my rambles.
