So far this blog has been missing one main thing that I’m doing instead of napping, and that is my life as a member of Team Craft, and as a crafter in general.
Team Craft
Team Craft is a society that has been going for over two years now. We even have our own theme song, which does a good job of explaining what Team Craft is all about.
Theme Song from Craft Night
Midnight in the bad part of town
All the ladies gather round
You bring the needles I’ll bring the thread
Making totebags pink and red
Totebags from my old dress
Barb’s bringing shooters what a big mess!
(Chorus)
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night, Yah!
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night yah…
Seven people and one sewing machine,
Seven hours if you know what I mean.
We’re making lacy panties,
Or whatever tickles your fancy -
(Chorus)
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night, Yah!
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night yah…
Next week we’re making pinatas
Maybe with some pina coladas
You bring the paper I’ll bring the scissors,
Jodi says she’s got the hard liquor…
(Chorus)
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night, Yah!
C - R - A - F - T
Craft night yah…
Teeeeeeeeeeam Craft.
We don’t have a recording of this song at the moment but there has been some talk of going in to the studio…
Team Craft Badges
We take turns hosting the craft nights (or, crafternoons). Everyone brings their own supplies for a predetermined craft (of course we all share generously with each other, too). Usually tasty snacks and (always) some sort of alcohol is involved.
The person hosting the craft is usually responsible for creating the badges that the team crafters earn once the craft is complete. Due to some complaints, we have a rule that if you do the craft on your own you can still earn the badge (although I’m pretty sure no one has done this yet).
There are some examples of our badges in the photos above. The original idea was to attach these to our tote bags (that was the project of our very first craft night) but I have been putting mine in a shadow box.)
Badges pictured above: tote bag, pumpkin carving, pinatas, and decorated margarita glasses.
Seasonal Crafts
Often our craft nights will be related to upcoming holidays. For example we often have a pumpkin carving night. This year we made Halloween Wreaths. We have an annual Valentine’s Day event: this year we made Valentine’s cards, ate goodies, and drank chocolate espresso champagne.
Other Projects
This summer we made voodoo dolls and drank fancy cocktails. We also made fascinators, which are very fancy headpieces.
In the past we have made panties, wallets, and stuffed animals.
Coming Soon
I am going to add more craft photos in a later post. Once I’m all caught up I will post about events as they happen (next one is Christmas Ornaments I believe!).

How did I manage to miss this blog from Blogcatalog? This is simply one of the most beautiful blogs I have ever seen.
My jaw actually dropped. lol

This sounds like so much fun. Too bad I live so far, far away. I like making things but lack the motivation any more to initiate the projects. I would do well with motivation. Craft on ….
@JJ Thanks I wish I could take credit for the way my blog looks but I actually can only take credit for messing parts of it up. It’s a wordpress theme by Evan Eckard his stuff rocks http://www.evaneckard.com/
