introducing my favorite web personality #12: Matthew Gray Gubler

It’s that time again and here is my favorite web personality for this week…

Who He Is:

If you recognize his name,  it might be because Matthew Gray Gubler also plays Dr. Reid on the TV show Criminal Minds. However, his web personality is that of an artist and writer, not an actor.

5 Reasons Why I Chose Him:

1. Talented artist. I really like his style. Great drawing.

2. Website layout. Simple and yet very cool - I like how the website works and that everything on it has been done by hand.

3. He’s a good guy. Well I don’t know him personally, but I do like how he donates the proceeds from his art shows to charity.

4. I hear voices in my head. Well okay, not all the time, but here’s what I mean: I don’t watch his show, Criminal Minds, very much but the fact that I have seen him on TV means that I can hear his voice when I’m reading his writing on the website. As a musician, I guess hearing the writer’s voice makes reading more interesting?

5. Just in case you’re jealous and want to hear his voice too - look for his version of one of my favorite poems by my favorite creepiest poet - “Annabel Lee” by Edgar Allan Poe. He sort of sounds like Jimmy Stewart crossed with Don Knotts, but sexy (yes, that’s possible).
