So Mink Valley played at the Media Club on Saturday November 15 (part of the Nearly Famous Music Festival). I forgot why festivals are so great – the crowd is actually made up of people who want to check out new music. Things got off to a bit of a rough start when we arrived and our slot had been bumped to 9:30pm. Originally we were supposed to play at 10:00pm- we were given a 30 minute set so that would mean that a lot of people coming to see us would miss us completely, and we were expecting a pretty big turnout. Thankfully the person in charge was cool and let us start at 9:50 instead. More people came out for us than I even expected which always energizes us even more – we’re louder, tighter, and happier all around. Mink Valley Juice My only regret was that my glasses were broken and balanced very precariously on my nose the entire time -not super conducive to rocking out, but I tried. Oh, and I met another blogger at our show, too. For another perspective on the festival and reviews of other bands, go to his blog at www.nathanstafford.blogspot.com. A Sneak Peak of our performance… (shot on my little digital camera so just snippets of a song or two…)
