writing about the Olympics

In the mild climate of Vancouver BC, February can already be the start of the thaw… The sun starts shining, trees bloom, and flowers poke through the ground. Simultaneously, my spirits lift - so perhaps that’s why I am prepared to be more optimistic about the Olympic mayhem that is about to hit our city. It may be a coping method, since I am surrounded by Olympic venues on three sides (I live right in the city).
